Halifax Public Libraries – Home Page Halifax Regional Library was created April 1, 1996 from a merging of the Halifax City, Halifax County and Dartmouth Regional Libraries. At that time a new automated catalogue was launched allowing residents from the entire Halifax Regional Municipality to access the collections of the three former library systems. In 2003, the Library changed its name to Halifax Public Libraries. |

Halifax Public Libraries – Mobile Public Libraries Mobile Public Library carries a range of library materials for both adults and children, including books, CDs, DVDs, audio books, large print materials, videos and magazines.
