1st Riverlake Scout Group provides 5 challenging Scouting programs to boys, girls and youth ages 5-17 in the Fall River, Windsor Junction and Waverley areas. These programs offer activities ranging from learning about the outdoors, including camping and hiking, to development of social skills, games, crafts and learning about our community, our country and our world.
|2nd Wellington Scout Group, Wellington
2nd Wellington Scout Group puts the ‘out’ into Scouting! The Group was formed to provide the youth of Fall River, Fletchers Lake, Wellington & Grand Lake, an opportunity to experience activities missing at the time in the local area. The outdoors is an essential part of Scouting and through Scouting children will learn all sorts of fun and challenging things like wilderness survival, hiking, camping and First Aid. Camps are organized, trips are planned, but most of all the youth have fun!

Cheema Aquatic Club was founded in 1969 in Waverley to provide aquatic sports opportunities to the youth in our area. We are primarily a sprint canoe and kayak racing club. We also offer 2 week introductory camps each summer. Cheema has a long history highlighted by our National, International and Olympic success.

Founded in 2012, offering Badminton play to kids in our community of Fall River and throughout HRM. The intended outcome was to teach kids ages 9-18 years of age, the sport of Badminton and give them the tools to compete through Badminton Nova Scotia tournaments if desired. We welcome new members as we continue to grow and develop this technical sport.

The Fall River Minor Football Association (FRMFA) was founded in November of 2004 by a group of local residents on a mission to pioneer the sport of Tackle Football in the greater Fall River, Waverley, Windsor Junction, Beaver Bank area.
TAISO Gymnastics Training Centre is a non-profit amateur sports organization founded in 1973 as a men’s and women’s gymnastics club. TAISO has been incorporated with the Joint Stocks Company and has been a member in good standing with Gymnastics Nova Scotia since this time. All board members and members of the various committees organized to properly operate the club are volunteers. All instructors are paid employees. Fees are kept as low as possible in order to make membership in the TAISO Gymnastics Training Centre accessible to every enthusiastic individual.

Volleyball Nova Scotia (VNS) is an association managed by an extremely enthusiastic and dedicated group of volunteers who make up an eleven-member Board of Directors. In addition to the Board of Directors, there are countless volunteers province-wide who are committed to the development of volleyball. The daily activities of VNS are managed by our full-time staff in the Sport Nova Scotia offices in Halifax.
