Change of Heart

With the Canadian Penny going out of circulation next February, you are invited to donate your pennies and indeed any loose change to the Maritime Heart Center’s Change of Heart campaign. The Maritime Heart Center is a registered, non-profit organization that was established in 1976 by a group of concerned cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, cardiac anesthetists, and radiologists.
Their objectives are to support the provision of world class care to Maritimer’s with heart disease and advance disease prevention activities. For more information on the Centre, it’s activities and where you can drop off your change, click here.

Auto Draft

Tomorrow — Saturday, October 20 — is Election Day.

We have had thirteen days of electronic voting, and currently voter turnout across HRM as a whole sits at just 22%. Tomorrow is a big day to contribute to the future of our community, and to help make sure those around us are engaged!

If you have not voted yet, be sure to vote tomorrow. To find your polling station, visit:

Today is a great day to encourage those around you to vote tomorrow, too. Think of these people and see if you can encourage them to get out and vote tomorrow:

The people in your household
Your co-workers
Your clients
Your friends
Your online networks
Together, let’s invite everyone in HRM to get out to VOTE!
