Union Cemetery - Cobequid Road

The Union Cemetery is the one on the hill on the Cobequid Road and it is Community owned and operated. The Cemetery dates back many years and has a number of graves in it. Over the years it had become badly neglected and fallen into total disrepair. Four years ago a group of community volunteers formed a board and began restoring it. They have done a magnificent job and while it is not yet open for sale of lots, it will be within the next year or so. The property is now looking great and just goes to show what amazing things can be done by this great community of ours if we all pull together. Thanks to Councillor Bob Harvey from Sackville and our own Councillor, Barry Dalrymple for their funding assistance but especially to all the volunteers who did the hard work.
