Weekly Green Cart Collection

Halifax Regional Municipality would like to remind residents who have been receiving weekly summer green cart collection that the service will end effective end of day, Tuesday, August 31st. After August 31st, collection service will return to the regular two-week schedule. Residents should refer to their 2010 Organics Green Cart and Garbage Collection Schedule for regular collection information.

Cost: $4 at the door

There will be a DJ and dance as well as a canteen open. Come on out for some dancing! Parents be comforted: it’s a supervised evening.

Cost: Free!

What’s better than a campfire on the beach? Head over to WJCC and find out (hint: the answer involves corn). PLEASE NOTE: Volunteers needs to boil corn!!

Ye Newe Yard Sale: Come check out some local wares! Haggling encouraged, but note that all proceeds are kicked back to Keloose! Contact Mary-Lynn McCool

12noon: Keloose Kids’ Parade: Got kids? Dress ’em up in costume and/or mini-floats for the parade! The route begins at the Music Junction Parking lot and ends at the WJCC parking lot. Local Judges will award prizes to the bestest of the best!

1pm: ALL AGES WATER FROLICS! Grab yer suits! All kinds of madness lies in wait by the lake! Iceberg races, Canoe races, and more! Bring the whole fam down!

4pm: THE BIG PRE-SHOW! This year will include performances from several local acts, and the 2010 Keloose Idol winner! Music continues until…


4pm: The Lions will be offering the traditional Chicken Dinner!

5pm: The WJCC Cafeteria will be selling hot dogs, pop, and more!

5:30pm: The Scouts will be selling Fries! All proceeds go to their trip to SCANDINAVIA!
